Niki Burton, RN
Occupational Health Nurse

Niki has worked in the occupational health related field for several years as an occupational health nurse. At OEHC she performs medical testing of patients, the coordination of patient referral and treatment programs, and presents educational programs on a variety of occupational topics to workers, unions and business.

Donna Ciotti
Administrative Secretary

Donna has worked as the Center's Administrative Secretary since July 1999. She is responsible for administrative and clinical program communication needs to achieve maximum success of outgoing and incoming communications. She follows up on outstanding receivables and coordinates transcription needs of the center.

Cheryl Granato, RN
Clinical Coordinator

Cheryl has worked with OEHC since November of 2002 as the Clinical Coordinator. She's worked as a Registered Nurse for 13 years and in occupational medicine for the last 5 years in various roles. At OEHC she performs medical testing of patients, the coordination of patient referral and treatment programs as well as the coordination of clinical activities relating to the World Trade Center Worker & Volunteer Medical Screening Program. Cheryl presents educational programs on a variety of occupational topics to workers, unions and business. She enjoys this aspect of her job immensely.

Donna Harrington
Coordinator, Office Administration

Donna Harrington coordinates the office activities including support staff supervision/training, billing, invoicing, purchasing, written and telephone communications. She assists in budget development, budget maintenance, finance tracking/reporting, and any other general duties necessary to insure the success of the department.

Hellen M. Lavender
Program Assistant

Hellen has been with the Center since October of 1997. Hellen handles a variety of activities including Medical records maintenance/processing, telephone reception, greeting of visitors, and scheduling of appointments. She is a Certified Medical Information Processing Specialist.

Matthew P. Mauer, D.O., M.P.H.
Staff Physician

Dr. Mauer has worked with OEHC since 1999. He is Board Certified in Occupational and Environmental medicine and by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his MPH at the State University of New York at Albany. He is a member of the New York State Department of Health/SUNY Albany Residency Advisory Committee.

Theresa McCumber
Program Assistant

Theresa has been with OEHC since October 2001. She performs a variety of duties including insurance and Workers' Compensation billing and processing; appointment scheduling; patient check-out; medical records processing; and answering phones, to name just a few.

Jean McMahon, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. McMahon has worked with OEHC since September of 2001. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and has many years of experience in the field of occupational medicine. She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center. She has been actively involved in The World Trade Center Worker & Volunteer Medical Screening Program that OEHC is participating in. Jean is currently working towards becoming board certified in occupational medicine.

John Van Raalte, MS, CIH
Director of Industrial Hygiene Services

John Van Raalte has worked as Director of Industrial Hygiene Services for 9 years. He consults with physicians concerning patient exposures and tasks, provides industrial hygiene consulting services for varied clients, and does training and outreach to help prevent occupational exposures and disease.
